The name indicates this is a large sized racquet at a 107 square inches. It is also the largest in the Pure Drive series of racquets. This is a very comfortable racquet that accommodate a large sweetspot, making it very forgiving for off-center shots. Pure Drive 107 is well suited for beginners and intermediate players still looking to improve on their timing. At a 107 square inches you can afford to misjudge the balls and still keep the point going.
The Cortex system at the base of the frame is said to better eliminate vibrations and improves the feel. You have the Woofer grommets that also enhances feel due to the increased ball pocketing on every stroke, which also gives a slight trampoline effect for 10% more power. The 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock position on the frame consist of a mixture between Graphite and Tungsten. This GT technology does help reduce the torque.
The racquet weighs only 10.4 oz. and makes this a very maneuverable racquet for all court players. There is a good mix of power and control and the open string pattern delivers a good amount of spin. The racquet is slightly extended at 27.2 inches and less stiff than most Babolat racquets, making it more gentle on the arm, particularly on the bad shots that is bound to happen for intermediate players.
