The Head Graphene Extreme MP is similar to the Extreme Pro racquet, however it is less demanding and well suited for players at the +4.0 NTRP level and above. The weight has been reduced to 11.3 ounces, but it still has plenty of power as the Graphene technology concentrate most of the weight in the throat where it really matters. Furthermore the balance point is at 4 points head light, meaning even more weight has been shifted towards the throat. This means that a little bit of feel is sacrificed at the net, but unless you are an aggressive serve and volley player, the added power is more beneficial.
This racquet also consists of the S-Tech grommet technology, which is designed to minimize the impact shock and therefore will make for a more comfortable playing experience. The Extreme MP features a 100 square inch head size with a large sweetspot, which along with the S-Tech grommets is very forgiving when you happen to hit off-center shots.
Head has produced many Extreme MP racquets, but those were without the Graphene technology. For players who had previously tried a Head racquet and did not like it, now is the time to give it another shot. It seems like more and more pros are choosing Head and the Graphene Extreme MP racquet is a good fit for players who needs just a little bit less demanding racquet than the pros are using, without giving up too much performance.
